Pelikan Hubs 2023

Another event I attended for the first time was the Pelikan Hubs 2023 event hosted by the Bay Area Planners organizer, Patty Tsai. It happened on September 22, 2023, and was held at the California Pizza Kitchen restaurant in Walnut Creek, California.

What is a Pelikan Hub?

First, for those who don’t know what company Pelikan is they are the ones who make the Pelikan Fountain Pens. Of course, that’s not the only products they sell, but that’s not what I’m going to write about here. According to an article by The Pelikan’s Perch, Pelikan describes a Hub as “A pivot, a focus of activity. For Pelikan fans, a Hub is a place where they can meet, exchange experiences, and network worldwide.” So, that’s what happened. We had a Meetup Dinner.

The attendees were fountain pen fans. Some of them were familiar planner friends of mine. We had dinner and socialized. While socializing, we showed off each other’s collection of fountain pens. I saw nice pens from the other attendees, and I thought of adding more pens to my collection because of it.

It made me feel happy that I decided to attend. Not only did I see my old friends, but I also met new ones. In fact, I got invited to join a luncheon in the future. How exciting!

If there is an event related to one of your hobbies, please don’t hesitate to attend it. Such events give a lot of pixie dust to your soul. It makes you fly happily. More events to come.
