The long-awaited day finally arrived. October 1st was World Postcard Day (WPD). The joy of finding a surprise postcard in your mailbox is incomparable. The goal of the WPD event is to bring that joy to as many people as possible. That’s what we did. We grabbed our unique postcards and our personal rubber stamps and celebrated this wonderful means of communication.
I met numerous awesome Postcrossers on WPD, and we all had a fun time signing every postcard reserved. We also enjoyed eating pizza and chatting while doing it.
Some Postcrossers drove from the far away town of Yuba City and Placerville. One even came from Toronto, Canada. What a marvelous day of meeting new friends! It’s amazing to find people who also love the hobbies that I do: postcards, fountain pens, rubber stamps, stickers, etc. Everything stationery!
I raffled off several postcard packs, sticker flakes, and washi tapes. I wish I had more for everybody who attended. It was such an exciting part of the event.
Perhaps you would like to attend a Postcrossing Meetup in the future, if you are in the Bay Area of California. It would be nice to see you then.
Until our next adventure…
